3 questions

1 - What is a sock blocker?
2 - Do I really need one?
3 - Where would I find one?

I'm making good progress on the new LL socks, but then I had to frog back almost 10 rows due to dropped stitch UUGGHH couldn't figure out how to get it back on track. I was reading ahead in the pattern and at the end it says to "block on sock blockers" is this important? Help me out all you much more experienced sock knitters. Thanks.

WEBS at www.yarn.com sells them. Don't know if they are necessary. May depend on the pattern and yarn? I have never used one since I have only made 1 pair of socks and my granddaughter put them on as soon as they were done and won't give them back!

I got a great set of sock blockers in wood off ebay. Just google on there chappywoman (seller). Anyhow, I have ones with yarn balls cut out in them. So cute. Do you need them, probably not. But they're fun to have!
